We got our character's this week. I am playing Narrator 1
and B, or Blondie. Playing a narrator will be interesting as I have never
played a character with no background or story or emotion. Narrator's need to
have a clear voice with good pronunciation. My other character is B/Blondie. My
first impressions of Blondie are:
- Sexy
- Smart
- Powerful
- Confident
- Good understanding of
people
- Manipulative
I am very excited to play her as she is so in control and
it's nice to play a women who is powerful. She is a very big contrast to Masha
from Three Sisters. I think she would hold herself very straight and I found
that all the Blondie's immediately crossed their legs, sat back in their chair
and held people's eyes. Blondie is a very strong and powerful character and it
will be fun and interesting to play her.

The part that I have got is when Blondie explains why she
ordered the Genocide. This is a very powerful speech and when I read it I feel
as if I must take me time with it to make sure people understand the message
that is being conveyed. Within this speech you can clearly see how sexual, powerful
, manipulative and smart she is. I am looking forward to doing more on this
speech.

This is a good summary of your initial impressions, however you could have gone on to scan in the monologue with your annotations on that show what you have been doing practically in rehearsals. You could have continued to re-visit this page to add the way that you were changing your characterisation throughout the rehearsal process.
